Imperial Visual Communications is a multi-color sheet-fed printer specializing in commercial printing and point of purchase. We offer our services and expertise to a wide range of customers nationwide. The Printing Industries of Wisconsin honored Imperial in May of 1999 with the Century Globe award denoting 100 years of operation. Although little can be found pertaining to the early Imperial, tax records show it was a commercial printer. After prohibition, Imperial became a label printer for local brewing companies that included Schlitz, Gettleman and Pabst. As the demands of clients and ownership changed hands, Imperial attained the reputation of printing quality multicolor commercial printing, becoming one of the first Milwaukee printers to install four-color 40” equipment. As technology became available, Imperial improved production and quality by adding six-color equipment. Since 1990, the current owners of imperial have continued to meet their clients’ needs, adding die-cutting, automatic collating, aqueous coating, preflight capabilities, digital proofing and computer-to-plate technology. Imperial stays at the forefront of the graphics industry nationwide.

Our quality control team sets the standards in each department. Every employee is authorized to stop production if any defect is noticed. We have prepared our own quality manuals for each department including procedures, checklists and control points to insure that we continually exceed our customer’s expectations.

Not just owning it, but using it to our customer’s benefit. If you need a variety of proofing options or the choice of film output versus computer-to-plate, we have the resources to give you what you need. Our flexibility in printing and finishing options help our clients stay within budget. Additionally, Imperial utilizes a fully integrated computer software management package that provides accurate information with minimal duplication of effort. The estimating systems are integrated with our shop floor controls providing closed loop integration with production. Employees have online access to job tickets to ensure that all changes are taken into account in the production process.
